REASON FOR BECOMING INVOLVED WITH ACE:
Ever since I heard Mr. Diego Navarro’s presentation on the DBA at Hartnell I was very keen on being a part of this project. It was particularly exciting to me because I strongly believe that a teacher plays a significant role in molding student success. Throughout my teaching career in India as well as here in the United States, I always encountered students who had the potential, but whose performance was hampered by personal issues and extraneous circumstances. Addressing these and guiding students to overcome these has always been a rewarding and satisfying experience for me. This endeavor brought with it some challenges that only helped me to hone my teaching techniques, and above everything else become a better human being.
Another factor that inspires my involvement with the ACE program is when we talk of the future we expect others to bring about changes in people and society little realizing that we, individually, can pioneer this mission. The ACE program offers great opportunities within one’s professional sphere to work towards this mission – to make this world a better and a safer place for our children.
