REASON FOR BECOMING INVOLVED WITH ACE
I became involved with ACE because of my experience teaching Drama, where students must bring their personal life experiences and their emotions into their work. Drama classes are often unconventional and the students tend to become much closer to each other than to students in other classes. This seemed to me to be very similar to the dynamic which ACE strives to encourage in its students. I have seen it work well in my classes and wanted to be a part of it with ACE. I am interested in improving my own teaching by learning the ACE methods and bringing my own skills to those methods as well.
